In this M3 Conference Plenary Session, Mark Garrison, an architect and missionary, challenges us to change our focus from building up a project to building up people. He discusses lessons he learned while building a surgical theatre at a mission hospital in Zambia, and how God showed him it was about relationships and not production. He gives us practical examples on how to love those we serve, and he takes us step by step from building a cohesive team to growing meaningful relationships.
Mark and his wife, Marcela, have served in various domestic and international short-term missions, both individually and collectively. They served together with their four children during the aforementioned surgical theatre project at Mukinge Mission Hospital in rural Zambia. They are continually amazed at how the Lord makes a way to use their talents in design, construction, and hospitality in ways and places they never could have imagined.
