Community Health Evangelism Course

Looking for relevant, sustainable, reproducible approaches to address community health and development that are adaptable across multiple settings? CHE provides a strategy for community based transformational development founded on the core values of integration and wholism, commitment to the poor and marginalized, long-term solutions, local ownership and initiative, participatory learning, multiplication, servant leadership, and contextualization.

Participants in the highly interactive CHE Training of Trainers 1 (CHE TOT1) will learn approaches to teaching physical and spiritual topics that equip individuals and communities to identify issues and mobilize resources for positive growth and development. Participatory learning activities are employed through large and small group discussions, various hands-on activities, and methods that can be replicated in the community setting. Upon completion of the CHE TOT1, participants will become members of the Global CHE Network and have access to more than 10,000 lessons and teaching aids.

This program is held at CHSC Shalom Retreat and Training Center from 8-5 daily. Participants are encouraged to arrive on July 11 and depart on July 16 to fully enjoy Shalom’s facilities and participate in all course activities. The program cost of $580 covers tuition, room (shared) and board from dinner July 11 through breakfast July 16, and the Global CHE Network flash drive with lessons and teaching aids. A commuter rate of $180 is offered which includes lunch daily. Commuters are invited to join us for breakfast and dinner – cost $5 breakfast, $10 dinner – please arrange with Candi on arrival. You can pay in full today or reserve your spot in this program with a $100 deposit.
