One of our ministry partners, Samaritan’s Purse, has an unprecedented opportunity and we want to share the need with you. Samaritan’s Purse is deploying an Emergency Trauma Field Hospital to northern Iraq to treat those injured as Mosul is liberated from ISIS. They have an urgent need to staff this hospital with Christian medical professionals over the next few months.
The most pressing needs are for general, trauma, and orthopedic surgeons; emergency physicians, anesthesiologists, nurse-anesthetists, OR nurses and technicians, and pharmacists, as well as staff nurses for pre-op and post-op care. Paramedics, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants with trauma and emergency experience would also be valued. Preferred candidates would have international medical experience.
Deployment will begin as early as January 1, 2016. They are looking for individuals who can serve a minimum of three weeks, with a preferred deployment of 30-60 days.
