M3 Welcomes Perry Jansen to the 2018 M3 Conference

Perry Jansen

We are now only one month away from the 2018 M3 Conference and we still have so much to share with you! We are pleased to introduce another one of our fantastic speakers at this year’s conference – Perry A. Jansen, MD, DTMH.

Dr. Jansen is a Family Physician who served with SIM in Malawi, Africa for 16 years. His passion was working with the many communities devastated by the HIV/AIDS epidemic there.  During his time in Malawi, HIV treatment (ARVs) became available even to the poorest and he founded the Malawian non-profit hospital, Partners in Hope (PIH), to help build Malawi’s capacity to get this life-saving treatment throughout the country.  PIH now has over 1,000 staff members in 9 districts, caring for over 200,000 HIV patients.  Dr. Jansen’s passion is to build local health care capacity through the development of Christian healthcare leaders and institutions.  Bringing Christ’s love in word and deed.  He is now working with the US Christian non-profit, MedSend.  For 25 years MedSend has played a critical role in facilitating medical missions through supporting repayment of educational debt for medical missionaries serving internationally and domestically.  Dr. Jansen is leading the strategic efforts to build upon the success of medical missionaries to expand post-graduate training for physicians in their own countries to be healthcare leaders of the future.

We are also very excited that MedSend will be an exhibitor at this year’s conference. You will have the opportunity to talk with them and learn more about what they do. You also won’t want to miss Dr. Jansen’s session titled, “Calling to the Greatest Need: Medical Missions, Past, Present & Future”.

We hope to see on February 23 & 24 at the 2018 M3 Conference. If you haven’t already, you can register now at m3missions.com!
