Health Outreach to the Middle East (H.O.M.E.)
Mobilizing Medical Missions (M3) is honored to partner with organizations like our 2017 Presenting Sponsors to make a positive difference in our world. Health Outreach to the Middle East (H.O.M.E.) is one of those sponsors, and we are pleased to share about the work they are doing in the Middle East. Two thousand years ago, healing love was born in the Middle East. It took the form of a man—they called Him, “Jesus.” He was the “Great Physician.” Today, through the work of H.O.M.E., the Great Physician continues to move and live through the lives of hundreds of thousands of His disciples in the land He once called home. In more than 18 H.O.M.E. clinics and hospitals from Beirut to Baghdad, from Amman to Cairo, the Great Physician is moving in the Middle East. Through His gracious, loving pierced hands, He is touching the lives and the hearts of many, giving hope to the hopeless and life abundant to those who are dying. H.O.M.E.’s participation as a Presenting Sponsor of the 2017 M3 Conference was made possible by the generosity of Houston’s First Baptist Church. Click here to learn more about the mission work Houston’s First Baptist Church is doing both locally and abroad.

Disaster and Refugee Response Course
This is a course offered this August by Christian Health Service Corp for all learners about responding with life-saving and dignity-upholding measures.
Introduction to Disaster and Refugee Response: SPHERE International Standards
August 21 – August 25
Register Early to Save! (See below.)
Daily headlines of disasters and crises can overwhelm or prompt us to action. How can we respond well? This program empowers participants to effectively contribute to global response efforts through knowledge and application of life-saving and dignity-upholding measures as outlined in the Sphere Handbook: Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Humanitarian Response. Developed by the international response community, the Sphere Handbook puts affected populations and the right to life with dignity at the center of humanitarian response. It focuses on quality, accountability, and collaboration. Interactive sessions contextualize universal minimum standards, key actions, and key indicators and cover four core life-saving areas: water supply, sanitation and hygiene promotion; food security and nutrition; shelter, settlement and non-food items; and health action. Program participants will gain resources to put principles into practice, engage with coordinated relief efforts, minister to affected populations, and maintain resilience.

She is Priceless: Join the Movement and #PutOnYourPearls
Join Mercy House Global on May 16, 2017, to support women around the world by using social media to bring awareness and funds to organizations striving to make a difference in the lives of oppressed women.
Use the hashtag #PutOnYourPearls when sharing on your social media pages. A pearl is a healed wound. An oyster protects itself from irritation and suffering and the result is a priceless pearl. The women Mercy House Global and partnering organizations support have endured unthinkable suffering in their lives and often feel forgotten. We are joining together to remind the world that every woman matters.
Here’s How It Works:
1. Click here to choose an organization to learn more about and donate to the cause of your choice.
2. Click here to grab a free image to share on social media or take a “selfless selfie” wearing your favorite pearl jewelry and use the hashtag #Putonyourpearls
3. When sharing on social media, link back to http://sheispriceless.org/ to let people know how they too can join the movement.
